Founded Alecto Recruitment Ltd in 2009, and started my career path into Recruitment in May 2007. Every day we assist job seekers find new positions nationally and internationally. We have often changed candidates lives for the better, assisting them in better work-life balances along with increased remunerations. Since inception we have placed well over 6000 candidates into a broad range of markets! We genuinely feel we make a difference for our clients too! We want them to feel they are getting a genuine return on investment, so the satisfaction in both parts of the process is very rewarding. This is why I love what we do, and have a genuine passion for Recruitment. We make a difference, and were proud of that!
As Joint MD, Dean, along with Sean manages the day to day operations of Alecto. We have built a superb team in the last 10 years or so, and we put a huge emphasis on building a team of qualified and experienced Recruitment Professionals. Recruitment is one of the most competitive markets in the UK, so in order for us to be at the forefront (as we are), and to keep competing at the highest level, we have to keep learning and improving in our profession. We invest heavily in our employees with a genuine view to be the best recruiters possible. This continues to be our focus.
Outside of the office my spare time is spent with my wife and our two beautiful children.
I started in Recruitment back in 2007 and founded Alecto Recruitment in 2009. I always had the desire to start and build my own business from a young age, so the fact I could do it with one of my best friends made the decision easier. We also wanted to create a company where success was rewarded, employees enjoyed going to work every day and in turn make our service to clients and candidates create real value.
Not only do I get to see our clients grow and see the difference we make to candidates lives every day, I also get to see our employees grow as people. Whether it is seeing them get promotions, get married or buy their first house!
Most of my spare time is spent with my wife and my young daughter. If I get the chance, I will be on the golf course!
I joined Alecto back in 2010 as my first role in the recruitment industry. Initially joining the business as the first ever employee and as a trainee consultant, over the years I have progressed through the ranks, into various management positions and now am proud to be Associate Director for the company.
Before Alecto, I spent several years in sales and prior to that in education where I studied Business, IT and Law.
I ended up in recruitment after being approached by the two founding directors’ Dean and Sean to come on board and assist them in growing the Alecto brand. An opportunity to be part of something special and really make a difference, proved too much to turn down.
Throughout the years I’ve always led from the front and have been one of the most consistent and top performers within the business.
I’m also the reigning pool champion and arguably the finest table tennis player to ever grace the Alecto tables.
In my spare time you can find me either chilling out, playing football, watching football, or playing football manager.
I joined the business in 2012 as a Database administrator, prior to joining the company I worked as a Mortgage Advisor. With a young family and a demanding job, I wanted a job in which I could build a career but have family time also.
The risk from joining a large corporate company to a company with just 8 employees at the time well and truly paid off as I have grown within the business to now a Finance Manager. I love that I have no two days the same and am always busy whether it is helping with internal matters or managing the credit control within the business.
Outside of work, the majority of my time is running around after my football mad son, whether it’s taking him to training or watching matches. I try to find time to go to the gym or getting out for a run when possible.
I started in Recruitment in January 2015 and joined Alecto in July 2015. I decided against going to university, so wanted to find a career I could pursue long term. One of the main things that is great about Recruitment is that you are always busy! I enjoy speaking to people from varied backgrounds every day and learning about the different ways companies operate, but most of all I love being around the Alecto team.
In 2018 I became a mum to my son, and I have enjoyed being able to have a career here as well as flexibility around my family. My spare time is spent with my husband and son, as well as our beloved English Bull Terrier. Family life keeps me busy, but when I get the time I enjoy eating out with friends and the occasional gin!
I started in recruitment back in October 2014 and joined Alecto in 2015. Before working in recruitment, I was studying for a postgrad degree at university. When I finished my degree, I could go into language teaching, translation or interpreting but I wanted to develop myself and my skills in sales and considered recruitment a good opportunity to do so.
I love working in recruitment, It’s like running your own business within a business. Always learning, improving from people around you keeps you on your toes and there’s always something you can do better and drive to improve.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending my evenings and weekends with my wife and daughter and occasionally turning up to Fratton park to show my face every now and then.
I started in recruitment back in August 2014 with Alecto Recruitment. I came here with a very strong sales background as I have worked in multiple sales types positions such as Business development manager, District Sales manager, Sales mentor, Business to business sales executive, face to face, face to consumer and telesales. I was looking for a new challenge within a sales type position where I could have the opportunity to help grow along with the company. Alecto were exactly what I was looking for and after all this time, I can safely say it was the right choice.
Within my position, I enjoy the variation from each day to the next. The job has multiple disciplines which ensures I am always on top of my game and learning. Working in a madhouse also helps the day go by…
Outside of work I enjoy watching films, eating in and out, going to the gym and spending time with my friends and family
I began my career in Recruitment in 2013 and join Alecto in 2015. Having begun my Sales career as a Door knocker, Recruitment was an obvious choice as a long term career considering the prospects that are available.
Recruitment has offered me the flexibility to enjoy a great work-life balance which has always been important to me, whilst ensuring that I am working to 100% of my potential.
The majority of my spare time is spent on the Golf course, which is a place I love (and hate at times)… and aim to play as many courses in the UK and abroad as possible – Houston and Turkey bound in 2022 as examples.
I also enjoy spending time with my friends, family and my beloved dogs.
I started my recruitment career with Alecto recruitment in 2013. Before working at Alecto, I had a number of sales based jobs, including being a CEMAP qualified (Mortgage advice). I made the move to recruitment as the position required a lot of skills I already had. I’ve always worked in a consultative style, matching products to requirements, so doing the same with candidates and roles was an easy move. At the time the financial markets were still very unsteady, but even now I’m glad to say I’ve never looked back.
I love working in recruitment. I like the fact that I get to have a real effect on someone’s life.
Work is generally a huge part of people’s lives and being able to improve this for another person is a great feeling.
Outside of work, I became a dad in 2019, so the family takes up nearly all my spare time at the moment. If I do ever find myself free, I like a good poker game or going out with friends; Snooker and darts being a favourite to play.
I started my time in Recruitment and Alecto back in February 2017. Before this I had worked in a couple different Sales positions. Starting in Direct sales ‘Door to Door’ working for 100% commission only where I was very successful, working up to a Regional Sales Manager within a leading Engineering Manufacturer. After being made redundant and being advised by friends to look into Recruitment I decided to take on the challenge and haven’t looked back!
I love speaking to different people daily, however my main ‘buzz’ is building strong relationships with people and feeling like this isn’t really work, just chatting to people on a daily basis.
Outside of work I have a son, born in 2016, who is absolutely everything to me, and I am a Semi professional Magician and create Magic for Magicians around the world, heavily relying on Sleight of Hand.
I started in recruitment in 2017 as a Resourcer and gained two years recruitment experience before joining Alecto as a Consultant in 2019 and then being promoted to a Senior Consultant at the end of 2021. Before working in recruitment I worked in a variety of roles and industries from coaching University Basketball in Portsmouth & Chichester University to working & managing in bars and nightclubs around the Portsmouth area.
After my previous experiences, I have established a home within Waste, Recycling and Power Generation recruitment specialising in the full cycle recruitment process of these industries, from Construction & Commissioning to Operations & Maintenance.
In my job, what I enjoy the most is having the opportunity to affect people’s lives in a positive way, by finding them their ideal jobs. Outside (and sometimes inside) of work I am mad about sports, mainly football and basketball but anything with scores and competition will get me interested. Ultimately my main motivation in life is my family, as I look to build a career and be able to provide them with everything they could ever want and need.
I joined Alecto Recruitment back in May 2014 having spent 11 years prior within retail sales and account management. Alecto was the perfect platform to start my recruitment journey, working as a trainee consultant under the watchful eye of some of the industry’s leading recruiters with extensive training on offer.
With a proven background in sales and an interest in building relationships, the change in direction was a no brainer for me. It presented the opportunity to move away from selling a physical product to offering a consultative and valued service to clients and candidates that would sometimes have a huge and positive impact on people’s lives.
Having enjoyed good success during my time with Alecto assisting businesses and candidates with an honest and personal approach, I continue to enjoy my job as much as the day started and is why I have progressed to Senior Consultant during this time.
Outside of the office I surround myself as much as possible with family and friends and enjoy walks at national trusts, reliving my childhood with my boys and kicking back in the evenings with my wife.
I’m a dedicated family man, husband, and proud father to two young boys, but not so proud to admit that I spend a lot of my spare time dressed in Lycra. I’m an endurance enthusiast who enjoys long distance cycling, running and lifting weights, often training towards challenging charity events which ensure I remain focused.
To date I’ve raised money for ‘Mind’, ‘Prostate Cancer UK’, ‘British Heart Foundation’ and ‘Meningitis UK’ with plans do something else later this year, so watch this space.
My background is in retail, I have joined after 10 years of furniture sales and kitchen designing. I joined recruitment to have a good work- life balance, which allows me to enjoy my work as much as my free time. I am working in the HGV industry here at Alecto. I spend most of my weekends watching Reading FC or watching my Son play ice hockey
My Recruitment career began mid-way through 2021 as I was nearing the end of my Psychology undergrad, it wasn’t something I planned to do but appealed to me greatly as the job is so varied and busy, so I sought out a position here at Alecto.
What I love about this job is the fast-paced nature of everything, the urgency and constantly having different things to do within the Fire & Security Engineering sector. There is always a challenge working with people and it’s that challenge that drives me to want to work harder to achieve my personal goals as well as setting people up in jobs that suit their needs and wants.
In my free time I enjoy playing video games, baking something delicious and spending time with friends and family.
I started my career in recruitment October 2021 with Alecto recruitment and couldn’t be happier. I came with a strong sales background starting out as a canvasser for charities in your local high streets all the way up to providing advice on financial products and selling financial protection solutions for families.
I wanted to get into recruitment a long time ago and I am so glad I finally did! As I continue to grow my recruitment career here. The only thing I regret is not leaping sooner!
In my spare time I am an avid Downhill Mountain biker who competes at every chance I get. I love travelling all over the world with my bike. I have seen and done some incredible things but most importantly it taught me discipline and how to overcome fears and objections. It really does breed the “if you’re not first, your last mentality” Which I take with in whatever I do.
