Alecto Recruitment are working with a fantastic Audio Visual Company's, who have been going for nearly 20 years' now. Our client are a specialist IT, data network and audio visual integrator, specializing in the design, installation and support of integrated technology systems within the education, leisure and corporate sectors.

They are in a position where they are looking to expand their specialist engineering team with a Senior AV Engineer. They need an Audio Visual Engineer with experience in Installation, Commissioning and Servicing to carry out Installation and service of audio visual equipment at their client's facilities across the UK (mainly in London) in the leisure, education, and commercial sectors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Installation, commissioning and support of general audio visual systems from background music through to fully automated sound, light and video studios within Leisure Centres.
  • Servicing and Installation of signage systems, video walls and meeting room systems into corporate client's premises. Installation & commissioning of Television distribution systems (F-IRS) into client premises and new build projects. Installation & Commissioning of Cellular repeater systems into client's premises.
  • School hall sound, light and projection systems for theatrical and general assembly use.
  • Installation of classroom interactive solutions and classroom audio systems
  • Diagnosis and repairing faults on site, working with the internal helpdesk support team to ensure excellent client service

The work is mostly in London and the South East of England but the ability to travel and where necessary stay away overnight, may from time to time be required.

Preferred requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in installing audio visual systems (ideal but not essential)
  • Ability to liaise with clients when on site to coordinate works as required
  • Ability to report daily to your line manager on works completed, outstanding tasks and another other relevant information

Essential requirements

  • Full UK driving license
  • You must already have the legal right to work in the UK
  • No criminal convictions on record - DBS/CRB checks will be undertaken in order that you can work on many of our client sites

Desirable skills

  • Installation experience of leisure and commercial audio visual systems in one or more of the following disciplines:
  • Multi-zone audio systems for the retail and leisure sector
  • Screen and projection systems for signage, communication and live streaming
  • Video wall system installation and control
  • Lighting systems including DMX and LED pixel tape
  • Education or fitness industry audio visual systems
  • Data infrastructure installation, service and maintenance
  • Aerial and satellite, IPTV and TV signal distribution systems (IRS/FIRS)
  • Automation and control systems
  • Cellular Repeater / DAS systems

Desirable qualifications and training

  • ECS or CSCS skill card
  • CTS or similar audio visual qualifications
  • Electrical or cabling installation qualifications are an advantage

Package

  • Permanent Employment Contract (45 hours per week)
  • Up to £45,000 basic salary depending on experience levels and skillsets
  • All sensible and pre-agreed work related expenses paid
  • 22 days paid holiday, increasing by 1 day for every year worked up to 25 days.
