Role Overview:
As a Remote AV Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients remotely. You will work closely with the team of designers, project managers, and field engineers to ensure the smooth installation and maintenance of AV systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients remotely
- Collaborating with designers, project managers, and field engineers to ensure the successful installation and maintenance of AV systems
- Conducting remote diagnostics to identify and resolve issues with AV systems
- Documenting technical issues and resolutions in the support ticketing system
- Providing training and support to clients on how to use and maintain AV systems
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies in the AV sector
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in the commercial AV sector
- Strong knowledge of AV systems and their components
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with control systems such as Crestron, Extron and AMX
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field would be an advantage
