Alecto Recruitment are looking for an Electrical Technician for a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Station on the South Coast of the England.

We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician or Engineer with relevant experience within a Heavy Industrial background to work on a Monday to Friday basis within a Large CCGT Power Station in Hampshire.

Job Brief

You will be reporting to the Electrical Engineer and working within the Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for the following:

• Working alongside other technicians in the team and contributing to the high-performance culture on the station.
• Maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical systems, including UPS systems, motors, switchgear, generators, and high voltage transformers using a range of maintenance techniques.
• Fault finding on complex problems in a logical and innovative manner.
• Reading, understanding and producing electrical drawings.
• Motivating others and managing contractors.
• Understanding and ensuring safe systems of work.
• Ensuring compliance with an array of health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Maintaining records and procedures through good computer literacy.

Requirements

• ONC/HNC/HND Qualified in a relevant Electrical field
• Power Generation or Large Process Plant Experience
• Knowledge of High Voltage Generators associated with switch gear and control equipment.
• Able to compile Risk Assessments & Method Statements & Work Instructions

Package Details

• Salary is £52,000 a year.
• This role comes with a variety of benefits including Discretionary Bonus, Medical and Competitive Pension Scheme.
• This role is worked on a Monday to Friday basis on a 37-hour week.
