Alecto Recruitment are currently working with a Large Power Generation Company, who are looking to expand their team in the coming weeks.

We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician or Instrument Technician with Electrical Experience with relevant experience to work within a Large CCGT Facility in Kent.

Job Brief

To support the Engineering Team with all Operational Electrical Engineering.

During this role, you will be required to;

  • Work alongside a shift team of skilled workers.
  • Provide advice and expertise on the current running of the plant when requested.
  • Comply with all health and safety to the highest standard.
  • Monitor performance and standards on shift.
  • Assist Management and Supervisors with plant running.
  • Carry out preventative, responsive and pre-planned maintenance.
  • Complete work on Controls Systems and PLC's.
  • Use CMMS Systems to comply with existing site procedures.


  • Ideally a degree/HND level qualification in a relevant engineering subject e.g. electrical or electronic engineering or similar.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PLC, DCS, Instrumentation and/or electrical systems such as switchgear, transformers, motors and HV/LV plant.
  • Good technical capability with at least 5 years of experience in a project engineering related role or similar in the power sector (CCGT, coal, CHP, utilities, EFW, biomass etc)
  • Knowledge and experience of budgets and contract management
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • A high regard for health, safety and environmental compliance.

Package Details

  • Salary could be up to £55,000 a year.
  • This opportunity comes with a vast amount of training and a clear progression route within the company.

  • This role would suit an experienced person with experience within any Heavy Industry environment.
