Alecto Recruitment are working currently with a well respected and well known Digital Signage provider. Our client are currently looking for an experienced AV engineer to work alongside their team of audio-visual experts on state-of-the-art projects for some of the biggest brands in the UK.

Our client are a busy and reputable Digital Signage company who have been going for over 20 years now. They specialise in the design, provision, commissioning, and support of AV services to clients all over the UK. The Role:

  • You will provide technical support to the digital advertising sector at various location around the United Kingdom. Working alongside the Digital Manager and remote support team, you will attend to reported issues meeting our pre-agreed SLA's (4hr, 12hr, 72hr depending on severity)
  • You will be required to attend sites at pre-agreed intervals to do preventative maintenance this will involve but not be limited to the following {Clean the face of the display}, {Clean the internals of the display}, {Clean the rear of the display}, {Check for electrical issues},{Check site H&S}
  • You will monitor your e-mails during the shift and respond to any fault as quickly as possible, you will manage all stock and equipment within your vehicle and ensure that you have everything you need.
  • Health and Safety is a large part of our work and as such you will be required to follow all safety procedures while on-site and ensure that all operatives or subcontractors follow the same rules.
  • You will provide support across a wide range of screens and manufacturers, you will also be required to do basic IT and network troubleshooting.
  • The post holder will be assigned to the Digital Maintenance Department; however, may also be required to undertake other duties as and when required. All employees must show integrity and professionalism in the workplace.
  • You will liaise with the field team members and proactively deal with issues that arise by arranging for stock to be shipped, attending the site yourself, rescheduling work, etc. You will be expected to take ownership of your decisions and deal with problems swiftly and decisively.
  • You will update the Digital Operations Supervisor with Stock levels for sites and reorder points.
  • You will be Dealing with RMA requests and Shipping of spares.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the office team and senior technicians to ensure all work is completed promptly.
  • Monitoring and maintaining site safety ensuring the safety of everyone on site
  • Provide remote support to onsite technicians.
  • To provide support across a range of operational tasks and related duties, including the maintenance of computerised records and stock levels.
  • Communicate to management any issues and H&S concerns
  • Ensure that work is undertaken in accordance with company's work policy and meets the manufactures recommendations.
  • React to issues as quickly as possible ensuring company's SLA is met.
  • Management of equipment and spares within your vehicles.
  • Manage stock at company's yard by logging in and out of parts.
  • Notify management of low stock levels.
  • Maintain a professional manner and attitude to clients and sub-contractors
  • Ensure that all H&S documentation has been provided before visiting the site.
  • Liaising with the H&S team where required.
  • Resolve issues as quickly as possible and send a written report to the department manager detailing arrival times, Completion Times, and the issue.
  • Lead by example and train where possible other members of staff.
  • Management of the site conditions and remove debris and rubbish when seen.
  • Preparation of all equipment and materials, where reasonably practicable, the night before to ensure good working time in motion
  • Take a proactive and onerous role within the business
