Alecto Recruitment are currently representing an industry leading provider of Air Hygiene Compliance Services, who are now looking to recruit an Air Hygiene Operative in the Birmigham area.

Working across a variety of environments including care homes, Hospitality, education, healthcare, pubs and restaurants amongst many others, my client provide high-quality, expert advice and legally compliant services for all aspects of air and water hygiene and kitchen extract fire safety, to ensure client's premises are compliant, safe, healthy and legal.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has become available to join one of the UKs longest established providers of duct cleaning and legionella risk services, as Air Hygiene Technician.

The role of Air Hygiene Technician/Duct Cleaning Operative will involve ensuring that all environmental hygiene cleaning contracts assigned are completed on time, to the required standard and specification, and to the satisfaction of the customer.

The main areas of work being:

• General Ventilation Cleaning
• Kitchen Extract Fire Safety Cleaning

Duties will include:

• Cleaning and de-greasing fans/duct work at heights of up to 5/10m.
• Testing fire dampers (drop testing both manual and electric)
• Cleaning and maintaining air ventilation systems (duct, AHU's, fans and grills)
• Maintaining excellent cleanliness of working areas to meet health and safety best practices.

The Candidate:

Preferred candidate will have previous experience within kitchen extract, ventilation, or duct cleaning, and be familiar with TR19 regulations. However, candidates with knowledge of the industry and transferable skills will also be considered.

It is essential you can be flexible with your working hours, including day work, evening and night work when required. You must also be willing to work occasional weekends in line with work requirements. A full driving licence is also required.

Package:

• £20,000 - £24,000 per annum
• Company vehicle and fuel card
• Vehicle recovery service contract
• PPE (protective footwear, high visibility vest, hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, dust/legionella mask, protective overalls)
