WtE Commissioning / Maintenance Engineer: South Wales

Alecto Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance / Commissioning Engineer in South Wales.

Our client is a innovative waste to energy solutions provider who is seeking an experienced site based engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within the Waste to Energy sector for a leading organisation.

Skills Required:

HNC/HND – Electrical / Electronic Engineering. You will possess a strong electrical background which will have included 11kv switchgear to low voltage SCADA Equipment and PLC knowledge. You will have a strong fault finding on automated electrical apparatus.

Knowledge and experience working within a power plant sector would be highly beneficial up to MW size. The work may be very diverse so would require you to have a strong mechanical and hydraulic background to be able to work on the following if required:

Transducers monitoring and controlling conveyors, bunkering devices, fluid level controllers, temperature/pressure vessels, gas flow meters and other electro-mechanical equipment ranging from 24V DC to 1100V AC.

Knowledge maintaining internal combustion engines which are powered by the gases given off when the waste products are gasified under controlled temperature/pressure conditions. These engines directly drive 3-phase 415V generators whose outputs are injected into the National Grid via local step-up transformers.
