Technical Support 1st / 2nd Line Technical Support – Norfolk – up to £20K + Pension
Our client is a rapidly growing website development and IT company based in Norfolk who is currently looking to recruitment a new member of staff within their Technical Support department. Required to be good on the phone and organised, diligent, tidy, endowed with common sense and the ability to take responsibility. Consistent and able to complete tasks thoroughly applying intelligence and broader understanding where necessary. Good under pressure, punctual and flexible.
The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate a good level of technical knowledge and be able to apply the knowledge in a structured approach to solve IT issues.
Tasks may include some or all of the following depending on experience:
Setting up and supporting computer Networks
Support for PCs and servers remotely and onsite (XP, Vista, Win7, 2003, 2008, 2011)
Installing PCs/ upgrading software
Administration of IP Phone systems (via web based interface)
Supporting customer applications (training provided)
Managing Hosted Desktops via control portal
Setting up email accounts and website hosting (Linux and Windows)
Support for Mac’s remotely and onsite
Managing WHM webservers and DNS
