Our Client is looking for an experienced Stores Manager to join their organisation.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: South East England

Salary: TBC, approx £40,000

Duties as follows:

The overall control and administration of the primary site stores areas (main stores, goods in / out, hold store, etc) ensuring that all statutory, legislative and company quality procedures are adhered to.

Ensuring that all items received in Goods In are undamaged from transportation, that all documentation is correct, and meets CAA/FAA Mod requirements.

The provision and control of a suitable and secure bonded stores for serviceable spares and materials.

The provision and control of a separate quarantine stores for unserviceable items and incoming items awaiting clearance.

Oversee the shelf-life of product, ensuring that no stock is allowed to expire. The maintenance of records relative to shelf life.

The maintenance of records relative to material, stores location, batch number and approved certificates.

Stock management of the physical material, maintaining accuracy levels to the agreed standard, responsible for physical stock checking / cyclical counting activity and accuracy.

Maintain suitable and accurate supplier owned consignment stocking areas / locations ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, picking and storage of all supplier consigned material.

Oversight of the physical picking and despatch processes, ensuring materials are optimally and accurately delivered to the engineering team in the defined and agreed timeframe.

Ensuring that all items despatched through Goods out are suitably packed to ensure that they remain undamaged through transportation, that all documentation is correct, and meets the legislative and customer requirements.

Oversee and manage the day to day transport provision to ensure that the business is able to operate efficiently, e.g. couriers, transfer of stock between sites.

To lead and motivate the staff under your control. The administration and discipline of all personnel employed within stores, including selection & recruitment, discipline, welfare, training & development and dismissal.

Manage the standards to promote a professional and efficient stores operation including housekeeping standards, uniform and wearing of PPE.

Ensure that all staff directly under your control are familiar with the company’s Safety, Health & Environmental policies & procedures, and that all staff have received an induction, site familiarisation tour and are advised / provided with the necessary safety / PPE items in order to minimise any risk to their welfare.

Ensuring that the company Safety, Health & Environmental requirements are adhered to in the allocated areas or responsibility. Maintain product subject to COSHH / Hazardous requirements ensuring its safe storage, and that staff under your control are trained to handle, issue and store said material.

The preparation and submission of budget forecast for the stores section and the control of budget limits as required by the Group Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager, and approved by the General Manager.

The preparing and submitting of Key Performance Indicators relevant to your area of control, and to satisfy the needs of the business.

Undertake and participate in projects designed to improve the efficiency of the business or develop and implement cost saving initiatives in order to improve the direct financial performance of the business.
