One of the UK’s leading Waste management companies has an urgent requirement for an experienced Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Technician to work at one of their Waste Treatment facilities in Rainham, Essex. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a 24/7 shift rota on rotating 12 hour shifts. There are several positions available

Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor and working a rolling 12 hour shift pattern you’ll be responsible for:

• Effectively, promptly and safely fault finding and maintaining electromechanical plant including Conveyors, Cranes, Drives, Motors, Pumps, Magnets, Screeners, Crushers and other large plant.
• Keeping accurate, up to date maintenance records using Frontline CMMS
• Working closely with the Operations Department to maintain business critical plant availability
• Assisting with special projects, plant upgrades, retrofits and continuous plant improvements
• Ensuring compliance with strict health, safety and environmental rules and regulations

As this role involves working as part of very small maintenance team you must be able to demonstrate excellent communications skills coupled with strong technical knowledge and the ability to work well under your own initiative in a highly pressurised environment.

To be considered, you’ll need to be qualified to C&G/ ONC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline and have extensive experience in a similar field. This may include industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Power Generation, Waste Management / Recycling, Paper Mill, Foundry, Marine Engineering or any other heavy industry.

A 17^th edition Electrical qualification along with a Forklift Truck licence would also be highly advantageous.

A full UK driving licence is also an essential requirement for this role.
