Our client, one of the UK’s leading Waste Management companies has a requirement for a senior maintenance engineer to work at their waste treatment facility in West Sussex.

As senior maintenance engineer and reporting to the unit manager, you’ll manage a team of shift maintenance engineers to ensure the plant remains ‘on line’ on a daily basis via the planning, organising and implementation of PPM systems in accordance with strict H&S guidelines and legislation.

The waste treatment plant uses a variety of PLC controlled machinery such as conveyors, separators, cranes, screens, trommels, compactors and balers so you’ll also be responsible for controlling the spares inventory for emergency repairs in the event of breakdowns.

To be successful, you’ll need to be educated to a minimum HND or equivalent level in mechanical / electrical engineering and possess a multi skilled background from a similar industry.

Knowledge of planned maintenance systems is also essential along with excellent man management skills and the ability to work within a pressurised environment.

This is a day role, Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday mornings and offers a salary of £30,000 + 20 days holiday as a senior maintenance engineer working for one of the UK’s leading waste management companies.
