Our Client is looking for an experience Safety Equipment fitter, skilled/semi-skilled.

This is a permanent position offering a salary of £17,000-£20,000 per year.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE RELVANT EXPERIENCE.

The Main Tasks:

– To overhaul and test various aircraft safety equipment and associated sub-assemblies including oxygen, inflatable and fire extinguisher systems.

- To operate various flow/test rigs which include hydro testing, pressure flow testing, charging and the use of precision tooling within the Safety department.

- Strip, re-build, test and fault-find various types of oxygen and mixed gas valves.

- Tig welding, milling and machining of precision parts.

The Required Skills and Experience:

- A good level of numeracy and literacy.

- Ideally previous experience on aircraft oxygen systems, operating the above tooling and rigs.

- Experience in engineering/workshop environment.

- Ability to work to deadlines, taking into account all health and safety rules.

- Dexterous with small components.

- Capable of working without constant supervision, achieving high aviation standards of workmanship

- A reliable and flexible team player within the department.

- Training will be provided where necessary.
