PLANNING ENGINEER (EFW) – OXFORDSHIRE. UPTO £300 PER DAY

Our client, one of the UK’s leading construction companies are looking for a Planning Engineer with a background in heavy civil engineering projects, preferably on Energy from Waste plants to work on a new project in Ardley, Oxfordshire.

Offering a day rate approaching £300 for the ideal candidate, you’ll need to be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering subject and have experience with Project Planning tools such as MS Project and Primavera. Experience of complex M&E works including deep bunkers, steelworks, extensive concrete and associated shuttering along with the interface/installation of advanced process equipment would be distinctly advantageous as would an understanding of BIM/ Revit.

Key Elements of the role will include:

The development of internal and external customer/supplier relationships

Sharing leadership responsibilities

Obtaining the timely completion of projects without occurring penalties

Monitoring the use of planning techniques and tools, identifying the company’s needs, developing or locating answers to the needs and implementing their use.

Developing Manager’s knowledge and appreciation of planning techniques and tools

Ensuring that programmes produced meet the needs of the project

Advising the Managers of problem areas and suggesting actions.

Ideally, you’ll live within a sensible commuting distance to Ardley or be prepared to stay away from home during the working week and be prepared to work weekends as necessary.

This is a contract position offering up to £300 per day for the right candidate, working for one of the UK’s leading construction companies who are building a new Energy from Waste (EfW) plant in Ardley, Oxfordshire.
