Multi-Skilled HVAC Engineer – Yeovil
Salary/Package – £25k – £27k basic + Van + OT + Pension
Location – Yeovil, Somerset
My client are nationwide Facilities Maintenance organisation currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled HVAC Engineer.
Key Skills
- Have significant experience working on various types of Mechanical HVAC plant, equipment and building services, covering both planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and rectification.
- Be a time served Engineer with at least 5 years relevant post experience
- Be able carry out 1st line reactive and planned maintenance tasks in the required field as well as any other general facilities duties and activities.
- Have a good working understanding and basic knowledge of the electrical systems in connection with the equipment and services to be maintained.
- Have the ability to work on their own initiative.
- Have experience and relevant qualifications regarding Air Handling units and associated equipment , Air conditioning systems , Chillers and associated systems – Refrigerant gases qualifications an advantage but not essential.
- Be experienced in the operation and maintenance of commercial Boilers and LTHW systems and associated equipment – Gas Safe qualified an advantage but not essential.
- Have a good standard of general plumbing, commercial plumbing and mechanical pipe systems skills and experience.
- Have an understanding of asset management principals and maintenance techniques.
- Have a proactive attitude.
- Be computer literate and have the ability to use basic PC based relevant software i.e Autocad , BMS systems controls , Microsoft Word , Microsoft Excel etc.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to form relationships with clients and to exceed customer expectation.
- Possess a full driving licence.
- Have an approachable demeanour and a demonstrable commitment to team working.
- Be willing to demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.
- Be able to pass a CRB check given the work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure the satisfactory performance and further development of all tasks for which he/she is responsible including:
- Compliance with contractual requirements.
- Client satisfaction and the quality of service provided.
- Responsibility for the undertaking and execution of all operations under their remit and reporting directly to the Facilities Manager.
- Identifying and implementing innovations to improve service delivery
- Complying with the company systems in a manner, which fully complies with all legal, qualitative, health, safety and environmental standards and other relevant guidance.
- Ensuring, demonstrate, review and monitor compliance, to meet the expectation and needs of the Client, the quality and organisational goals of the company and satisfy the requirements of BS EN IS0 9001:2000
- Monitoring and professional oversight of works as directed by their line manager to ensure satisfactory quality levels.
- Developing the competency of themselves through a commitment to continuing professional development.
- To maintain a driving licence to remain mobile.
- Participation in a 24 hour 7 day per week on call service is mandatory.
