Heat Pump Engineer – Ground & Air Source – South East

Salary/Package – £33000 – £40000 Basic + Vehicle + Bonus + Benefits

My client are a specialist designer, supplier and installer of Solar PV , Solar Thermal, Ground Source & Air Source Heat Pumps and Wind Turbine Technology throughout the UK. They now require an experienced Operations Manager to join them.

Due to rapid growth we are seeking a Heat Pump Engineer who is experienced in all aspects of the Heat Pump market, although there is emphasis on the domestic sector, to help move the department to the next level.

The primary role is to carry out installations of ground source and air source heat pumps covering the south east. Previous experience in heat pump installation and the industry is essential as you will be asked to train and teach a team within the Heat Pump division.

Key responsibilities:

• Installation of ground and air source heat pumps in the domestic and commercial sectors
• Full project management responsibility for installation projects, drawing from installation, supply chain, finance and engineering teams where necessary.
• Conducting site surveys prior to heat pump installation in line with new MCS regulations (Sept. 2011)
• Overseeing and co-coordinating heat pump installations.
• Provide technical advice to customers over the phone.
• Maintain and repair installed Heat Pumps

Key Dimensions:

• Based on the road in the South East however there will be a requirement of office days.
• Working alongside the Heat Pump Manager advising on product development and strategy.

Essential

- Fully qualified and certified plumber

- Experience with under floor heating

- Knowledge and awareness of MCS procedures and standards and recognizing the importance of following these standards at all stages of installation.

Desired but not essential

- Electrical qualifications

- Refrigeration safe handling qualifications

- Manifold construction and installation

- Groundwork’s for Ground Source Heat Pump

- Knowledge and experience of Mitsubishi Ecodan, Daikin, Dimplex and Bosch heat pumps
