Engineering Manager – Steam Turbines

Alecto Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking a Deputy Mechanical Engineering Manager for their Energy from Waste plant based in London.

Our client is a leading Waste Management, Waste Recycling & Energy from Waste (EFW) organisation.

The purpose of the position is to ensure engineering solutions are implemented, both planned maintenance and breakdown, to maintain the effective operation of all plant and equipment. Actively participate with others in the pre planning of major boiler and turbine shut downs and during these shutdowns keep abreast of all activities in order to revise the programme according to whatever unforeseen repair and maintenance is necessary.

Person Specification:

Ideally an appropriate degree within Mechanical Engineering of which studies/topics must have covered Thermodynamics.

You will ideally have managerial level experience in the maintenance of Power Plant, gained from the Marine, Power industry or an industry where the process used steam generated in water tube boilers to drive turbines.

My client are specifically looking for someone of has a technical engineering understanding of Process Plant, Power Plant, Steam Turbines.

Experience of designing, costing and managing implementation of large process engineering improvements is highly beneficial.
