ENGINEERING MANAGER, RECYCLING PLANT, N/E LONDON -£45K-£55K

My client is one of the UK’s leading recycling companies and due to expansion, have a requirement for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team in North East London.

As Engineering Manager and reporting to the Operations Manager you’ll be responsible for the entire engineering function and day to day running of a busy recycling/process plant including production, planned and unplanned maintenance, quality and environmental management, H&S and budgetary control.

To be considered for this position you’ll need to be educated to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and have extensive experience within a similar role as Engineering Manager.

You’ll need a good knowledge of lean tools such as six sigma, 5S, 8D, Kanban and TPM, along with an understanding of PPM systems, budgetary planning, environmental health and safety.

Suitable candidates will come from a production/process role within the automotive/fmcg industries and possess excellent man management and communication skills coupled with a high degree of computer literacy.
