EC&I ENGINEER, TEESSIDE – £NEGOTIABLE

Our client is a leading operations and maintenance company within the Power Generation sector who currently have an opportunity for an experienced EC&I Engineer to be based at their Head Office in Teesside.

As an EC&I (Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation) Engineer you’ll be responsible for the planned, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and project work at various sites throughout the UK and Overseas.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

* Providing technical support to maintenance and operational staff

* Solving engineering plant problems outside the capability of the maintenance team

* Managing specialist contracts

* Performing technical training

* Developing and implement engineering procedures, instructions, standards and guidance documents;

* Setting and championing engineering standards across the business where appropriate

* Ensuring all Planned Maintenance routines are adequate and appropriate for the risks being managed

* Performing the role of ‘Project Manager’ for capital / improvement/change projects

To be successful, you’ll need a minimum qualification at HNC level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and have extensive experience as an EC&I Engineer, working particularly with HV (High Voltage) systems at either a Power Station or a large Process Facility although other relevant industries may be considered.

You’ll also require a flexible attitude to work as this role will involve overnight stays and overseas working.
