Customer / Technical Support Engineer – Leicestershire

Salary: £20,000 – £25,000

Alecto Recruitment Ltd are currently seeking a Customer / Technical Support Engineer based in Leicestershire.

My client made a decision to expand into the renewable energy market and supply Solar PV, wind turbines to a farm or rural businesses. They provide residential, farms and landowners of any size with renewable energy options.

Successful candidate will work within the after sales department, but will not be limited to the following.

Key responsibilities:

- Must have a renewable engineer background

- Provide technical advice and support to customers and field based engineers (Ex-engineer preference)

- Respond to customer requests for support

- Analyse and resolve equipment breakdowns, coordinate service / breakdown scheduling

- Develop, maintain and improve relationships with customers providing expect advice

The successful candidate will have:

- Good customer facing skills

- Mechanical / Electrical Engineering qualification (ONC / HNC)

- Good working knowledge of electrical control panels and ability to read wiring diagrams.

- Background in the renewable energy sector (Solar PV / Wind)

- Work a reasonable amount of overtime and be prepared to travel and stay away from home on occasion.

A strong emphasis is placed on training and developing their employees, so that a successful candidate must be prepared and enthusiastic to undertake further training.

Salary: £20,000 – £25,000
