They work across a number of different sectors including; healthcare, commercial, residential, education and leisure (as well as a number of one-off projects in ad hoc sectors too). Their clients include global corporations, schools, housing associations, local authorities, property developers and the National Health Service as well as private individuals looking to build their dream home. They have a range of services which includes architectural design, technical architecture, project management, environmental sustainability, interior design, building surveying and property development.

Role & Responsibilities
Candidates will be able to carry out the following responsibilities:
-To meet and exceed from time to time, the performance objectives agreed with the Directors
-To prepare drawings and specifications and administer contracts.
-Prepare outline, scheme, general arrangement and detailed drawings in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit formats.
-Specify materials and products, prepare description of works, trade preambles and preliminaries.
-Prepare presentation boards, layouts, material sample boards and the like.
-Ensure compliance with the current Building Regulations, NHBC, Planning, Corporation Scheme Design Standards, Town Planning Acts and all other Acts of Parliament, Legislation, Bye-Laws etc., affecting building design and construction.
-Prepare Risk Assessments and Health and Safety Plans in connection with the current Construction, Design and Management Regulations
-Administration of projects and contracts including inspections of building work on site to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, issue contract instructions, attend site meetings and prepare valuations and financial reports.
-General responsibilities also include ensuring that drawings and documents are stored correctly within the electronic filing hierarchy in accordance with the company policy.
Required Skills & Experience
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Architectural Technician
A good understanding of the necessary technical drawing packages required to bring their vision to life
Good material knowledge
Must understand basic detailing and principles
Proficient in AutoCAD
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, dealing with people at all levels
Must be able to work well as part of a team, as well as working under your own initiative
Have the ability to work to tight deadlines
A strong eye for detail
A good understanding of building regulations and compliance in the above sectors
Confident tackling planning applications
Comfortable being client facing
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience within the healthcare sector would be a huge bonus
Salary & Package
The successful candidate will receive a salary of £30,000 and a company pension scheme.
